That is odd, the driver I made that you were using previously was built with 10.2 legacy as base which worked fine but without fast boot support. If you have time try other newer driver versions like 14.4 or 13.6 Beta just to see which one works for you.

No secure boot in this BIOS, only Boot Sector Virus Protection which I think is irrelevant.
I installed the VC resist. 2012 from 15.11.
No Play.

Do you have a secure boot option in BIOS? If so disable it. The log file seems ok.
Edit: The VC redist is in the 15.11 driver folder not the 10.2 legacy folder.

Here is the log file. I don't see anything indicating a problem, but you might.
Before I started I did:
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
I believe that disables driver signature enforcement
After modding the driver I ran DDU in safe mode and removed the manufacturers Vista driver.
After that I installed, and got nice graphics
After the first restart I got the "broken window" screen.

I rebooted in safe mode and installed the VB redistributable that was included in 10.2 legacy and tried again. I saw you advised that in another thread.
Same "broken window" screen after reboot.

Attach the log file found in the FLEM directory so I can have a look at it.
Boot into safe mode and run DDU to clean out your amd drivers completely. Re-install the driver and don't forget to disable driver signature enforcement when booting into your freshly installed driver.

Hmm.
Using the 15.11.1 beta package and Modding it with the 10.2 legacy files goes without a hitch.
Installing succeeds as well with only the warning of unsigned driver of course.
But after a restart the systems locks up with below screen :(

Hope you have a suggestion.

Yes, it should be fine. The driver architecture supports your card. Your card is not supported in the inf but the driver files are compatible with your card.

OK, one question though. The 10.2 legacy driver does not seem to have support for this card. Can I still use 10.2 as a base for FLEM?

Hi,
You are better off using the 10.2 legacy driver(as base files) together with 15.11Beta. It should give you a performance increase on that old mobile gpu.
Yes unfortunately the black screen at start bug still exists, a workaround is to leave fast boot enabled, when you get the black screen turn the laptop off using the button before it posts fully and restart it immediately. It should boot with the driver properly loaded.

i have been trying to get this to work as well.
I tried without success to cook my own with the latest original Vista driver 8.400 from ASUS and Crimson 16.3.2
The original Vista driver does not contain the atiumd.ca_ file.
FLEM gives an error.
The resulting driver does not start. (Code 43)

I tried the (ATI Radeon Xpress 200M+1100)13.5_Beta2_win7+8 32_64bit
This Works, but with the black screen and cursor when cold booting and fast start enabled.
It seems fast start is not supported by the original driver (fast start was only introduced with Windows 8 ), and FLEM does not seem to add this support.
I can switch off fast start, but that doubles my boot time from 32 to 67 seconds :S

Is there any way fast start support can be added?

Hi sorry for the late reply,
Hope you got it sorted, the black screen happens when the driver does not load properly, sometimes manually turning it off with the power button and turning it back on does the trick.
If you are using crimsons i would suggest the 16.1 as a test platform, they are more stable with a lot of big fixes.
If Crimson doesn't workout for you you can always use the 15.11.1 Beta drivers with the 14.4 Catalyst Control Center.

Hi

Using the same method as before, I tried several FLEM modified drivers.
The 32-bit 15.12 beta driver (radeon-crimson-15.12-win10-32bit.exe) produced a driver that installed successfully using the method in your first reply.
However, when the PC starts the login screen does not appear. Instead I get a black screen with the mouse pointer on it. The only way to login in is to use the power off button to do a hybrid shutdown and then use the power button to restart.

I tried to install the items from the 14.4 driver that you suggested but these caused machine to lock-up.

Do you have any ideas on how to get the modified 15.12 beta driver to start properly?

Thanks

Yes that is the correct folder, are you using the legacy 10.2 package or the regular (10.2 package) for the base files?
Download the legacy 10.2 package from the home page of this site. Scroll down and select the 32bit version. Try modding a freshly extracted 15.7.1 package with the newly downloaded 10.2 legacy driver files as base files.

Or

Download the 15.11.1 beta package from the Homepage under the Latest Beta drivers and Mod it with the newly downloaded 10.2 legacy files.

Modding and installation process is the same as above.

Good luck .

Hi

Thanks for the quick response.

I could not find a WHQL folder in the extracted 15.7.1 AMD driver.
The closest file to CTxxxxxxx.inf that I could find was CT187672.inf located in the
C:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-15.7.1-Win10-32bit\Packages\Drivers\Display\WT_INF folder

Using the method in your post above, I attempted to install this driver.
When the installion is complete I get a the following error message,
"Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device"

"Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems. (Code 43)

Any other ideas?

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the thorough post and screenshot, follow these steps to get a working install manager for your card.
  1. Restart your laptop and disable Driver Signature Enforcement
  2. Install the driver from device manager manually using the method below:
  • Open Device Manager and right click Microsoft Basic Display Adapter
  • Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
  • Then select "Let me Pick from a list of device drivers on my computer"
  • Click "Have disk"
  • Browse to the WHQL folder and in the drivers subfolder select the inf that starts with CTxxxxxxx.inf
    3. After the driver has installed and you have rebooted the laptop(Disabling Driver Signature Enforcement again)
    4. Download AMD Catalyst WHQL 14.4 and extract it to the default folder.[ AMD Catalyst 14.4 WHQL (14.100.0.0 April 17)
    5. Open FLEM, select the 14.4 package and select option 4 only in the task selector, click customize driver.
After FLEM is done customizing that package goto where you extracted the package and run Setup.exe.
Make sure you uncheck the driver and gaming evolved app in the list then go ahead and install the package.
Reboot (Disabling Driver Signature Enforcement again).

You should have a working CCC installed as well as other components installed too.

Hi
I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 1718 Notebook.
This has a an ATI Radeon Express 200M Display adapter.
Hardware ID PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_5A62&SUBSYS_10FB1734&REV_00

I am able to install Windows 10 Home 32-bit. By default this intalls the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter.

I have used FLEM beta 3 to modify the 32-bit 15.7.1 drivers using the DX9 legacy files from the 10.2 driver.
This appears to complete successfully.

20/01/2016 14:44:15 Session Closed: FLEM Exited, Have a nice day!!!

Modified the startup options as stated
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON

Rebooted via Troubleshoot-Advanced options-Start-up Settings-Option 7, Disable driver signature enforcement.
c:\AMD\AMD-Catalyst-15.7.1-Win10-32bit\Setup.exe
In the modified driver folder and selected Custom install

The problem is that the FLEM 3 beta modified 15.7.1 driver does not detect the Radeon Express 200M card and only offers to install the AMD Catalyst Install Manager.
The AMD Display Driver, AMD Accelerated Video Transcoding and Catalyst Control Center are not displayed.

Can you suggest a solution or possibly post a modified driver that might work.

Thanks
