The driver modded on a different system would need to be signed on the system that the driver will be installed on and since the app won't start you can't sign it.
There is no point to add custom dev-id at this point.
Wait for the next update with a possible bug fix for the Windows 7 32bit bug. It will be out soon.

Since the app doesn’t work with windows 7 makes it impossible to mod my target legacy laptop.
A solution however would be to add custom dev Id on a different system with windows 10.
Would this be possible in a future update?
