Win10 misidentifies my ATi x300 as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter'

So Windows 10 shows my display adapter as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter'. I also have a 'Video Controller' listed under Other Devices. FLEM seems to not work. I assume this is because it doesn't see any ATi cards. If it helps, the PnP ID of the card is VEN_1002&5B60.

Anything I can do?

edit: Your Christmas theme seems to be making it impossible to hit the Submit button for me without tabbing to it. Just FYI...

On Windows 10 seeing your card listed as 'Microsoft Basic Display Adapter' is perfectly normal since there is no driver that it can associate your card with.
Could you post your FLEM log file so I can review it.

The solution is to MOD a driver and install it, instructions are on the guide page and many other posts in the forums.

The theme works fine on High Res, clicking the submit button now........

Then I quite possibly don't understand something. I am not able to select the Microsoft Basic Display Adapter in the dropdown. I'm also not able to locate any of the files needed when choosing option 3 under Full MOD. This is the directory I'm trying to pull legacy data from: C:\ATI\Support\10-02_legacy_vista32-64_wdm

If it helps, here's the log

It seems you posted the wrong log file because the card you were trying to MOd is AMD Radeon R9 200 Series VendorID :VEN_1002 DevID:67B0
while your card is a VEN_1002&5B60.

Try downloading a driver for your card from the manufacturer site, preferably a VISTA driver and install it from device manager.
Your card should now be detected, try modding a fresh driver package again using FLEM.

Maybe it is a similar issue. I using AMD-Catalyst-15.11.1Beta-64Bit-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-Nov14 and it only finds the MS Basic Display Adapter, then I choose the 7 files from 10-02_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc and the LH6A_INF. Seems to finish modding, then I run AMD's Uninstall and DDU. I don't know what I am doing with CCLeaners so didn't try. I then go back to this folder AMD-Catalyst-15.11.1Beta-64Bit-Win10-Win8.1-Win7-Nov14 and run Setup and nothing seems to happen. Was I supposed to use the Setup.exe from the folder 10-02_legacy_vista32-64_dd_ccc? Thanks for any help you might provide

Look for an old Vista driver for your X300 and install that first. If it doesn't install from the setup then go ahead and install it from device manager. Restart your computer and Windows 10 should be able to detect the GPU properly. After it is detected use FLEM to MOD a freshly extracted driver (15.11.1 Beta)

Hope this helps.
